Sidetracks Art Gallery co-owners Ricky Godinez and Paul Murphy are pleased to announce the 2016 Artist Awards for the 10th Annual "Naked in New Hope" exhibit.
Best in Show honors have been awarded to all around Artist, Gary Bykowsky of Roebling, New Jersey, this year for his forged and welded metal sculpture with blacksmith finish "Desire.” Five Honorable Mention awards were bestowed on: Morgan Dummit of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for his Bronze sculpture "Seer"; Tai Lin of Linden, New Jersey, for his white pastel on paper, “Eclipse”; Ben Mittleman of Santa Fe, New Mexico, for his photograph, “Beatiful Blindness #7”; Campbell G. Paxton of Mentor Ohio, for his terra cotta figurine, “Back Blowing in the Wind”; and Ingrid Rothenberg of Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania, for her pencill on paper, “Mirror Image.”
The local Jury Panel for the above awards included Warren Keyser, Artist; Nancy Lloyd, Artist and Owner of Nancy Lloyd Fine Art; and Christine McHugh, Artist and Owner of Big Trees Studio.
Sidetracks Awards were given to: Adam Capone of Lambertville, New Jersey, for his complex restored wood sculpture, "Victory"; Betz Green of Flourtown, Pennsylvania for her silver point drawing with gold leaf and pastel pencil, "Emerging." The Gramercy Award was awarded to Michael V. Pascucci of Yardley, Pennsylvania for his walnut wood sculpture "Silhouette of a Woman." Dalissa McEwan-Reeder of Chalfont, Pennsylvania received the Malachy Award for her ceramic pears figurines, "Meeting of the Minds." Whitehouse Station, New Jersey’s Najwan Zoubi's pencil and white charcoal on Grey Paper was awarded the Robin Larsen Award, named for the late founder and original guiding spirit of New Hope Arts. The Norma Holt Award was bestowed on Bob Deane of Media, Pennsylvania, for his cleverly conceived artist photo.
